Description

This two-day certification workshop will provide all the essential skills needed to safely work with venomous reptiles, and is suitable for both experienced professionals and folks who have never held a snake in their life. Our team of wildlife biologists will guide you through classroom topics in first aid, venom toxinology, and standards of care; to practical experience learning tools and hands-off restraints with venomous ambassador animals. By the time you are finished with this workshop, you'll be able to:

  • Describe the types and effects of various snake venoms

  • Perform first-aid and medical response for bite victims

  • Identify characteristics of safe, responsible venomous husbandry
